Sculpture Commission – The Goddess Flora

Private Commission

The sculpture commission Goddess Flora was for a private client’s new home. Since the pair of statues would flank the front door and greet any visitor, I choose to focus on the Roman Goddess Flora. Her festival, the Floralia, symbolized the renewal of the cycle of life, drinking, and flowers thus an apt symbol for welcoming guests into a beautiful new home.
