My new series of Wing sculptures use the Intaglio or Engravings technique to etch and carve into marble tiles. Working in such thin marble slates reveals the little known translucent nature of marble and transforms the heavy material into tablets of light. My solo exhibition in 2023 at Evanston Art Center explores the concept of a mind as a blank tablet by expanding how marble is perceived as sculpture.
