Through figure drawing, lines are practiced and refined before being applied to sculpture or to canvas and or as stand alone works of art. The preferred medium of drawing as preparation prevents final compositions from being overly planned and stilted and allows for an exploration of the medium. Each of the drawings explores line, shape, form and positive / negative space in the compositions.
