Hermes Recycled Marble & Concrete
Public Art Sculpture for Chicago Sculpture Exhibit 2024

Public Art Installation

After receiving a 2021 Illinois Arts Council grant for my Modern Athena sculpture, I was able to convert my stone carving studio into a zero waste environment that recycles all carving rubble into casting material. This is my second large scale sculpture using recycled marble and concrete for a public art sculpture in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago, IL USA. The large scale feather wing is inspired by Hermes – the Greek messenger god. His winged sandals allow him to easily move between the divine and and mortal worlds. So perhaps he has a message for you.
