In Flight

Multi Media Art Installation

 

In Flight is a work comprised of paper feathers and enhanced with Video Mapping or Projection Mapping onto the surfaces. Each video vignette was mapped onto a separate feather to create a composition of movement, light and form. The short video vignettes are taken of birds near the sea, in the city and countryside. These natural bird states of action caught and contained within the set shape and size of the feathers mimics humanity’s need to control nature. In addition to paper, marble wing sculptures have video mapping as well.
